Before joining Family Heritage Life Insurance Company of America (FHL) in 2001, Curtis Rogers worked for Southwestern Company, a large diversified group of companies out of Nashville. But he was enticed to join Family Heritage Life because of the opportunity it presented to build his own sales organization. “The most rewarding part of joining FHL,” says Curtis, “ has been the opportunity to help people through the sale of our products and, in the process, build a sales organization. If I could start over with Family Heritage Life, I would focus on recruiting sooner to assist in that building process.”
“What advice would I give to someone considering a sales or leadership position with FHL? Three things … work hard, study hard, and be coachable.”
Has that approach worked for Curtis? Absolutely! “I think my greatest accomplishment with Family Heritage Life has been my ability to start as a team leader and earn the right to be a Director,” says Curtis.
“Our Agency, Rock Financial Inc., has a lot to offer the community,” continues Curtis. “Our products help people through a really tough time. A career with Family Heritage Life can give someone the time to do the things he or she wants to do and the money to do them. As our team does well, it spends money in the community. In addition, Rock Financial Inc., volunteers its time in the community, and the Agency also makes financial donations.”
Curtis is very active in his church. “We give a lot to Christian-run organizations to help others.” He also enjoys playing volleyball in his free time and likes spending time with his family and watching Nebraska football.
