Style has always been a big part of Van Davenport’s life. After spending years selling custom made clothes to high-end clients, Van decided he wanted a lifestyle upgrade of his own. Van started his career with Family Heritage Life Insurance Company of American (FHL) in 2001. “Residual income, ownership opportunities, and the ability to sell a product that truly makes a difference,” were what lead Van to represent Family Heritage Life products at his Agency, Protect 1 Family, Inc. in Raleigh, NC.
In his time with FHL, Van says helping others achieve their goals and full potential is most rewarding. “There is no doubt that people, regardless of a college education, can do this and create incredible income for themselves.” Van also attributes a lot of his success to FHL products. “Family Heritage Life policies keep families out of bankruptcy when the unthinkable happens.” Van says helping clients keep their homes while having the ability to travel for treatment when going through a cancer diagnosis has been life changing.
Helping those in his community is important to Van and his Agency. When he’s not showing new recruits The Best Opportunity in America, he’s raising money for cancer patients, and supporting the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children’s Hospital and Special Olympics.
In his downtime, Van hangs out with his friends and family, attends sporting events and concerts, and works out in preparation for his next triathlon.
Van says he’s constantly looking for someone who works hard, studies hard, and is coachable to join his team. “It’s the best opportunity out there, so do it! But if you’re going to do it, you have to be committed because it won’t be easy. Nothing that pays as well as a career with Family Heritage Life should be easy.”
